IPOD Speaker System
The terms for different speaker drivers differ depending on the application. In 2-way loudspeakers, there is usually no driver called "mid-range". Familiar stereos use the designation "tweeter" for hovering frequencies whereas professional audio systems for concerts typically designate all types of high frequency drivers as "HF" or "highs" or "horns".

A full-range driver is designed to have the widest frequency response possible, despite the fundamental of thumb cited above |
|---|
| These drivers are small, on average 2 to 6 inches (5 to 16 cm) in diameter to permit reasonable high frequency response, and IPOD Speaker System carefully designed to give low distortion output at low frequencies, though with reduced maximum output level |
| Full earshot drivers are a possible approach to avoiding degrading effects of multiple driver systems, caused by non-coincident driver location and by crossover design and implementation issues. |
